Focus of OpenSciEd Work
As an Educational Service Center, we are committed to supporting districts from the adoption phase of High-Quality Instructional Materials through implementation. We recognize that professional learning needs to be ongoing support for the teacher and district. We focus on professional learning with Introductory Workshops, Implementation Training for Administrators and Teachers, Customized Professional Learning, Networking Opportunities, and Coaching Support.
Supporting Equitable Science Instruction
We understand that funding can be a barrier to High-Quality Instructional Materials. As an ESC we are excited to partner with an Open Education Resource and to provide affordable support for districts that are looking into, or have chosen to adopt, OpenSciEd.
Supporting School Systems
Professional Learning and support need to be ongoing for implementation to be a success. Our support involves ongoing coaching supports that will build sustainability within the district as well as providing networking opportunities across the state for teachers.
