For over four years, I’ve been an integral part of OpenSciEd’s facilitator team, contributing to its evolution and impact nationally. I have led the implementation of OpenSciEd at the district level for middle schools and initiated pilot programs at the high school level. Additionally, I’ve been dedicated to building capacity among instructional coaches and administrators, ensuring they grasp the instructional model and routines essential to OpenSciEd’s success. This multifaceted approach ensures sustained excellence in science education within schools and districts and I look forward to expanding that impact.

In my various roles, I have actively advocated for equitable science instruction across schools, districts, and states. I’ve actively worked to dismantle barriers to access, working to ensure that all students have equal opportunities to engage with high-quality science education. This includes collaborating with educators to implement high-quality inclusive curricula that reflect diverse perspectives and backgrounds, as well as providing targeted professional development to support culturally responsive teaching practices. Additionally, I’ve championed initiatives to address disparities in resources and support, striving to create environments where every student can thrive in science regardless of their background or circumstances.

I am committed to orchestrating sustainable professional learning frameworks within school systems, collaborating closely with instructional coaches and administrators. Together, we architect comprehensive and adaptive professional development initiatives tailored to the unique needs of educators, ensuring sustained growth and impact.
