Each unit includes an assessment system that offers many opportunities for different types of assessments that work together to help teachers inform instruction throughout the lessons. The types of assessments that can be found are: Pre-assessment, Formative, Summative, Self, and Peer Assessments.

Key assessment moments called out in the Assessment Overview Table at the beginning of each Teacher Edition. For those key assessment points, teachers are provided with either keys or rubrics depending on the type of assessment. For more open-ended assessments, a rubric is provided. Otherwise, a key with expected responses and scoring recommendations is provided.
