As of October 18, 2023, the OpenSciEd high school classroom curriculum materials will be licensed under the CC-BY-NC license available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/ (the “CC-BY-NC License”). Although the CC-BY-NC License is limited to non-commercial uses, commercial uses of our classroom curriculum materials are still encouraged and will now be available pursuant to our License for Commercial use of Curriculum Materials (the “Agreement”), which supplements the CC-BY-NC License. Commercial uses of a certain scale may require the payment of fees to OpenSciEd to support the development and maintenance of the OpenSciEd assets.

You may copy, distribute and modify the OpenSciEd curriculum materials (the “Curriculum Materials”) for Non-Commercial purposes pursuant to the terms and conditions of the CC-BY-NC license, which requires, in part, that you provide attribution to OpenSciEd, and, for online uses, provide a prominent hypertext link back to OpenSciEd’s website located at www.openscied.org. “Non-Commercial” shall have the meaning given to such term in the CC-BY-NC License; subject to compliance with its terms, such license would permit use for academic purposes of the Curriculum Materials obtained through publicly available means, so long as such use is not commercial in nature.
